Where In The World Is Carmen's Daughter?
Those who know me well can kid around and ask me what is latest with Jollibee. It is known to family and friends that ever since I was a kid I'm already a Jollibee girl. When I was attending elementary in CSR Manila, my kid's stuff always have a Jollibee logo. From my school bag, lunch box, wrist watch and even a desk mini trash bin, Jollibee's logo or his pudgy face sticks out. My friend Liz even gave me the title Jollibee Girl (everyone of us has her own title). So it's really evident of my love affair with Jollibee. But truth be told I was afraid of eating at Jollibee or at least see the mascot in early childhood. I remember being invited to a birthday party being catered by Jollibee. I distinctly remember my dread when I found out that the Bee will be there. But being the quiet little girl that I was, (what!!! is this part true?) I followed the heels of my Aunt Cristy and my cousin Cherry to the house of the birthday celebrant. When we got there I was already bracing myself for what is to come, to be calm and composed, to smile and try hard not to freak out. But alas! No Bee! I don't remember but for some reason the caterer was cancelled. I was soooo relieved! My first encounter with a Jollibee product, that made and started the romance was..... Jollibee french fries! My Aunts Grace and Daisy (they lived next door) brought home a Jollibee take out and shared with me a large serving of Jollibee french fries. It was love at first taste! After that, the rest is history. Through the years, I've been a Jollibee Girl. Not caring much of what McDonald's has to offer. I'm an adult now and still a Jollibee girl at heart. I don't eat there just as often as I did before but still I care a lot the Bee who is bigger than me.
Oh, and to answer the question. I'm here in California. The photo was taken outside the Jollibee branch in Union City, CA.
